Essential oils are great tools for stress relief. They are safe, easy to use and smell good.
But when you start with essential oils, it’s hard to know where to begin.
When I started using the oils, I was overwhelmed. I didn’t know their effects and it seemed so complicated. Now I love them and use them regularly for stress relief–sometimes changing my essential oil routine every day.
But when I started, I needed something simple and easy to remember.
When I learned this daily routine I had my answer.
Now I’m sharing my super-dooper, not-so-secret Daily Essential Oil Routine for Stress Relief.
Follow this easy routine every morning and notice if your mood improves and your energy increases. These 7 steps are a great beginner routine.
7 Steps to Stress Relief
The Essential Oils
Step 1: Put 1 drop of VALOR on your wrists and rub them together for a few seconds. Notice how you feel.
Step 2: Put 1 drop of HARMONY on your solar plexus, above the belly button.
Step 3: Put 1 drop of JOY over your heart. Take a deep breath and smell the lovely aroma.
Step 4: Put 1 drop of WHITE ANGELICA in one hand, rub your hands together and brush over your head, face, chest, shoulders, and down the body. You don’t need to actually touch your body–you are putting the oils in your aura. It’s as though you are creating an angelic shield.
The Essential Oil Fortified Supplements
Step 5: Drink 1-6 oz. of NINGXIA RED. 1-3 oz is appropriate if you are in good health. If you are healing, recovering from illness or under a large amount of stress, 4-6 oz. is appropriate.
Step 6: Take the Young Living Core Supplements as recommended three times daily. Each pack is pre-labeled so it is very clear when to take each one.
Full Disclosure: The oils and supplements used in this protocol are from Young Living. Young Living is an essential oil company and I am a Young Living distributor in Madison, WI.

Essential Oil Background
How will these oils help?
The best way to answer that question is to give the essential oils a try and see if you find any stress relief.
But those of you who like background information, here are a few benefits of these essential oils.
Valor
Valor is always a good oil to start with before other oils. It prepares your energy field to accept the higher frequency oils and induces a spiritual frame of mind. Many of the oils in this blend balance and ground the emotions so you feel confident and empowered–the perfect antidote to stress.
One of the interesting uses of Valor is to help align the skeletal system. When I did Thai massage, I would use Valor during a massage because it energetically prepared the body to be aligned and balanced. If you experience back pain from stress, Valor is one of the oils I would recommend.
Harmony
Harmony creates a harmonic balance of the energy centers of the body. It reduces stress, and promotes well-being.
There are a few key ingredients in Harmony which make it great for stress relief. Rose and rosewood support the heart chakra. It’s hard to be stressed with an open heart. Frankincense helps meditation and a quiet mind is relaxed. Orange is uplifting while Angelica is grounding. The blend of these oils supports stress relief.
Joy
Joy brings joy to the heart. It inspires romance and overcomes grief.
Rose is one of the essential oils in this blend. It has the highest energetic frequency of all the oils and is associated with spiritual practice and great spiritual teachers. One of my core teachers, Mata Amritanandamayi, would give a rose petal to each person she hugged during darshan. Rose also opens your heart and attracts love.
White Angelica
White Angelica creates a protective shield around the body and the body’s energy field. It creates a frequency which envelopes you like a cocoon, protecting you from negativity. It can increase your aura and create a feeling of wholeness.
Two of the essential oils in White Angelica, sandalwood and myrrh, stimulate the limbic region of the brain, the center for emotion and memory. Two other oils, ylang ylang and rosewood, are very relaxing. The combination is excellent for stress relief.
